We all had an hour to get our stuff and get out (my boss the owner did go to bat for me and I was allowed to come in the following Saturday and get all of my stuff). It was mind-blowing and although you do get over it in time, the feeling never really goes away - you think you are part of a family owned business and that these folks are not only your co-workers they are your friend and then you never hear from most of them again. <br />Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09185114589346053476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712929356183792053.post-82561161606359012642013-09-05T11:25:12.459-07:002013-09-05T11:25:12.459-07:00I loved that you were in Maui! :)I loved that you were in Maui! :)Jenhttp://dailyblender.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6712929356183792053.post-30754648442502906442012-12-30T07:14:21.929-08:002012-12-30T07:14:21.929-08:00I love this Leslie- so very true.

A few of us are trying to do something about this too - this will be our second year hosting Will Bake for Food, a food blogger bake sale to benefit the Emergency Feeding Program (they supply food banks and individuals). If you've got time and want to bake something for the benefit (or know someone who does), drop us a note.
