OK, I can guess most of the places, but where did you get such great looking BBQ chicken?
Is that sliced BBQ tenderloin?
Was that Central BBQ Ribs? The picture looks the closest I have seen to wet dry ribs. Has the original Central location reopened?
The Bryant's picture really catches the flavor of the restaurant. But where is the line and all of the people. Bryant is always elbow to elbow!
Hey Fred...
Good guessing! We hit Bryant's between rushes, so no cause for alarm.
The BBQ is Craig's in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas, where they smoke hams instead of shoulders. It's truly unique because of the sauce, which has a hint of cinnamon and apples in the excellent slaw.
Didn't get to Central, those ribs are from Rendezvous, where the ever-enthusiastic, 80-something Jack was our server.
Is it wrong to want to lie naked in a bathtub full of such wonderful barbecue? My better senses say yes, but the rest of me would emphatically disagree...
I just got back myself, from a 4,000 mile road trip including Detroit and Memphis - I'm a sucker for criminal endangerment. Had Central BBQ in Memphis. Always good stuff. Stopped at a joint in a very small Texas town and learned the difference between them having homemade fried chicken versus homemade chicken fry. The menu included chicken fried chicken. Sorry we didn't meet up in Memphis - we missed you at the pot luck.
